Schools

Karuna-Shechen builds and maintains schools in eastern Tibet in which classes are conducted in both the Tibetan and Chinese languages.

In Nepal, Karuna-Shechen has partnered with a local foundation (Samata Shiksha Niketan) to economically build schools throughout the country to provide education to thousands of disadvantaged children.

We support local associations like Namaste Banepa and the Himalayan Children Society to enable children in remote areas of Nepal to attend school. The schools we support help to maintain their students' cultural indentity.
